Goal accomplished! I went early yesterday to the Art Show downtown in Durango. Though rain had been forecast off and on, only a few places were empty on the three blocks of vendors on both sides of Second Avenue, plus a few small parking lots off to the sides.
I found a parking spot on the street within walking distance...a big plus. I even used the shoulder strap across my body to carry the portable oxygen generator (there I remembered what it's called!) I wore slacks with cargo type pockets and skipped carrying a purse, as well as plastic! Otherwise I'm sure I would have come home with a $250 shawl in hand woven rayon. They were absolutely edible!
Cheryl Kabala was quite friendly, and when I apologized for not being in a position to purchase what I found lovely, she was quite understanding. She and her husband come to Durango for this show yearly, living I think, in New Mexico.
