First an update for my wishes to see the first snow. Sunday I was sitting reading blogs at about 8 am, and this huge thunderstorm blasted by outside. I couldn't see across the valley and lightening came right outside my window. Then I looked down as it passed by. It had left sleet everywhere!
At 9:45 am there was still a pile of sleet on the windshield of the car, with mixed rain/sleet coming down. BUT by 10 am when I got to church, it was barely raining...and stayed dry until later in the day.
There are so many places further downstream where flooding has damaged people's property.
Weather is definitely crazy these days!

Just 8 minutes earlier the train went by. But not with tourists. It was carrying a crew to go repair tracks from the recent floods of the Animas River. The river is still in flood, but perhaps has receded enough for work to begin where tracks were damaged. It didn't come back until almost 9 pm.
