MY SENIOR ADVENTURES IN DURANGO, COLORADO! While we had 3 days of rain in the valley, snow settled on peaks in the distance.

Looking around me

Saturday morning from my bedroom window

I did a bit of shopping, found it is quite possible to not use oxygen while wheeling around Walmart! Got some staples, and am chagrined at how few canned goods they had. Not to mention carrots only come in those weird precut tiny things, or 2 pound bags. I did find the gauze to wear after my skin surgery in a couple of weeks. And I bought some lights that maybe will help in some darker corners of the apartment...battery operated to stick on with velcro and command strips.

I enjoyed my new eye mask for warm compresses on my eyes, 4 times...then drops here and there. Made a loaf of sort of banana nut bread. I forgot to put in the raisins, but the nuts were chopped in my mini-grinder, so were pretty fine. I didn't have any buttermilk, but Miss AI through Seri on my phone told me to use yogurt, almond milk and vinegar. It still didn't rise much, but tastes good.

The train depot (I think) not my photo

La Plata Mountains from Durango airport...again not my photo!

The following fall photos are by Ray Mathis, posted on Facebook
