Reading the latest Louise Penny novel about Inspector Gamache. What fun!
The clerk at Maria’s bookstore said this was a signed copy of the book. Mmm, she must think she’s a doctor to scribble so inarticulately!
Monday's full moon through the fog before dawn.
Coming from the hospital area called Three Spring, along highway 550 toward the downtown district of Durango, this arresting site made me pull over to capture it.
I started Physical Therapy at the hospital now. I will also go there for pulmonary rehab, or maybe just one of them. So I shall maybe have another post of this view with more snow...perhaps! I just found out Durango is listed as receiving 63 inches on average of snow yearly, while nearby Cortez has only 33 inches annually.

A panoramic view of the Animas River from the dentist's office. I will wait to have more visits after I get a better health care policy in the new year. If my teeth behave, that is!
Of note is that the river may still be high, (Monday Oct 26) but the flooding is abating, I think it crested last Friday here. Further downstream, and with other rivers, there have been reports of a lot of damage from floods in Pagosa Springs CO, and a lot of towns in northwest New Mexico.
A lot more rain/snow is forecast next Monday.

A nice progression of color in the darling orchid. It was so warm Sunday afternoon, I opened the window, and smashed a few Box Elder Bugs. But when this wasp appeared, I decided to close the window rather than trying to kill her. She disappeared later, and no bugs were on the screen for a while. I wonder if she scared them off!

Now this is a great shot from NASA - from space obviously of the Grand Canyon. It's a good 5-6 hours away from me, so I'm not likely to try to drive there on a day trip.

My middle son's wife posts things on FB, so I know what's going on with their active family.
One is to reverently marvel.
The other is humbly to endure...
